Enjoy being a passenger in a fully functioning fire engine with the lights flashing. Fulfil any childhood aspirations to be a firefighter in this giant Green Goddess fire engine, with a fifteen minute passenger ride. Climb in next to an experienced professional driver and get going around the site’s perimeter road, enjoying magnificent views from the cab’s great height; feel the roar of this beast’s engine and imagine racing along, all lights blaring!

Availability: At least one weekday or weekend date a month throughout the year. Weather: Driving is only ever cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow or ice) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Duration: Lasts for up to an hour, with around 15 minutes in total out on the perimeter road as a passenger. Numbers On Day: Briefings are held in groups. There may be another passenger sharing the fire engine with you, as well as the instructor. Spectators: Unlimited numbers of spectators are welcome. Please note that animals are not allowed at the site, with the exception of guide dogs. Dress Code: Dress comfortably and wear trainers or flat-soled shoes. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minumum age five, those aged under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Other Info: When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
