Since 1963, the Porsche 911 has been one of the world’s most iconic motoring machines and this action-packed driving thrill in Oxfordshire is your chance to find out exactly what it’s made of. Head trackside for a safety briefing, followed by a passenger lap in the Porsche to get familiar with racing lines and track driving techniques. Once revved up and ready to go, slide behind the wheel of a classic Porsche 911 for six stunning laps of Heyford Park’s one mile circuit to experience the might of its 230 bhp, rear-mounted six cylinder boxer engine first-hand. Next up, take a seat in a hot hatch for a thrilling high-speed passenger ride driven by a professional – a dream come true for petrol heads!
Availability: At least one Friday per month (or choose to pay an extra £25 for a weekend date). Must be booked and taken by 30 September 2017. Weather: Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue (if in any doubt). Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for around one and a half hours, including briefing, six miles driving time and the hot ride. Please arrive promptly to sign in. Driving commences around 45 minutes after the booked start time. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There are likely to be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and this is a family friendly venue with refreshments available. Other extra (chargeable) drives and passenger rides are available on the day, subject to availability. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) with trousers, long sleeves and narrow, flat-soled shoes to negotiate pedals that are close together. Guidelines: Northbound, exit M40 at j10, turn onto B430 Ardley and Middleton Stoney. Follow black truck route signs to Heyford Park, pass the Ardley Waste Depot on the left and turn right to Upper Heyford. At T-junction, turn right onto Camp road, go over two roundabouts and turn next right turn into Heyford Park Gate House. Black truck route signs to Heyford Park lead you directly to the correct security gate. Go thr’ Paragon Deliveries sign. Restrictions: Maximum weight is 18 stone, minimum height is 5′ and maximum height is 6’6”. To ensure participation, a disclaimer must be signed on the day to confirm ownership of a full manual driving licence. Other Info: When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
