Description
Enjoy the breathtaking sights of the Lake District by taking to the skies with a friend. See the world from the viewpoint of an Osprey, a large raptor which resides in numbers among these majestic waters and fells that make up one of England’s most well known National Parks. Travelling in a Cessna 172, survey the sprawling beauty of Bassenthwaite Lake and glide past some of England’s highest mountains. Leaving from and landing at Carlisle Airport, this flight includes views normally only available to the toughest of hill walkers.
Availability: Seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Weekends can get very busy, if you want a weekend date we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends). Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts for about 75 minutes, including a 50 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: Share the flight with another passenger and the pilot. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch take-off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age four – under 16’s must be accompanied on the flight by a fare paying adult. Maximum weight is 17 stone. Maximum height is 6’4”. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day. Other Info:
