Launching from one of the most historic airfields in the country, embark on a sensational eight mile sightseeing helicopter flight and soak in awe-inspiring views of the picturesque East Lothian countryside. Availability: Around one weekend date per month between April and October. Weather: This is a weather dependent activity, mainly due to wind speeds and cloud base above the ground. It is crucial to call the venue before setting out to check conditions. If the flight is cancelled, it can be re-booked directly with the venue. Duration: Expect to be at the venue for up to eight hours, including a six mile helicopter flight (lasting around five minutes), a cream tea and time to enjoy the venue. Numbers On Day: Share the helicopter with up to three other passengers and the pilot. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch you take off and land. A pair of binoculars or a camera will come in handy. Dress Code: Please bear in mind that inside the helicopter can get quite warm. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 6 and any under 16’s must sit in the back and be accompanied by a participating adult. Maximum weight is 18 stone (or 15 stone for front seat passengers).
