Experience the unrivalled thrill of a high-speed blast on the Solent, aboard a bonafide offshore powerboat. Hold on tight as a professional instructor pushes the vessel to the limit on a wild ride around an exciting offshore circuit. After a leisurely cruise down Southampton water, your skipper opens up the throttle to get ready for action. Once on the Solent, enjoy a thrilling demonstration of wave jumping, high-speed cornering, racing lines and starts. Take the wheel of the boat (at the instructor’s discretion) for two laps of the offshore circuit and put those newfound powerboating skills to the ultimate test. The Honda operates within Southampton water and, weather permitting, out in the Solent on this truly unforgettable day out.

Availability: Weekend dates from April – mid October. Book at least four weeks in advance (please be aware that bookings are taken up to a maximum of three months ahead). Weather: Powerboating is a weather-dependent activity. It’s essential that you call the venue for a weather check between 5pm and 7pm on the day before your experience to check weather conditions. Duration: An hour and a half including a safety briefing, one hour on the water, five minutes driving time and a debrief. Please arrive up to half an hour in advance of your booked time, the boat can’t wait for latecomers. Numbers On Day: Share the vessel with up to three other people. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to wave you off from the shore. Tell them to bring a camera and a pair of binoculars. Dress Code: Dress warmly and bring waterproofs and a change of clothes. Bear in mind that there is a high wind-chill factor aboard the boat. Wear non-slip shoes (e.g. trainers or deck shoes). An old pair of sunglasses/ski goggles will be useful if it is windy. Guidelines: From M27, exit J3 onto M271 following signs to ‘Waterfront’. With Ocean Village on your right, drive straight on, under bridge until you reach T junction with ‘The Chapel Arms’ ahead. Turn right, then right again at roundabout by St. Mary’s Stadium (into Belvidere Road). Pick up signposts for Shamrock Quay and turn right into William Street. From M3, exit J14 onto A33, then follow directions as above. Please telephone if you have any problems. Restrictions: Minimum age is 12 but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
