For a pair of thrill seekers it doesn’t get much better than this! Experience three of the UK’s best powerboats in one high-octane session! Both get a chance to drive the nimble Thunderbolt inflatable catamaran, the colossal Honda racing powerboat and ride passenger in the phenomenal 450 hp Jet Viper. Start with a safety briefing and introduction, then it’s onto the water for a whole hour in each vesse. This includes tuition on cornering and racing techniques, wave jumping and high-speed take-offs in the Thunderbolt and catamaran, as well as a thrilling ride in the Viper – all courtesy of a professional instructor. Finish with a debrief and each receive and take home an action photograph as a memento of this incredible experience.

Availability: Weekend dates from April to mid October. Book at least four weeks in advance (please be aware that bookings are taken up to a maximum of three months ahead). Weather: This is a weather dependent activity. It’s essential to call the venue for a weather check between 5pm and 7pm the evening before the booking. Duration: Lasts for up to five hours (three hours on the water), including safety briefings, 30 minutes driving time per person and debriefs. Please arrive up to half an hour prior to the start time as the boat can’t wait for latecomers. Numbers On Day: Share the experience with up to three others, plus a qualified instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to wave you off from the shore. There are a number of restaurants and bars nearby within the marina. Dress Code: Dress warmly and bring waterproofs and a change of clothes. Bear in mind that there is a high wind-chill factor aboard the boat. Wear flat, non-slip shoes (e.g. trainers or deck shoes). An old pair of sunglasses/ski goggles are useful if it’s windy. Guidelines: From M27, exit J3 onto M271 following signs to ‘Waterfront’. With Ocean Village on your right, drive straight on, under bridge until you reach T junction with ‘The Chapel Arms’ ahead. Turn right, then right again at roundabout by St. Mary’s Stadium (into Belvidere Road). Pick up signposts for Shamrock Quay and turn right into William Street. From M3, exit J14 onto A33, then follow directions as above. Please telephone if you have any problems. Restrictions: Minimum age is 12 but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
