Soar like a bird with this sensational light aircraft flight at Gloucestershire Airport. Kick off with a welcome refreshment and detailed pre-flight safety discussion before being taxied to the runway in preparation for the ride. Once at altitude, enjoy magnificent bird’s-eye views of the two suspension bridges, meandering River Severn and Cotswolds, as the aircraft soars fluently through the sky. During the flight, the pilot will hand over the piloting duties to give you a real taste of light aircraft aviation. Once on back on terra firma, receive a signed certificate of participation to show off to friends and family. For those who catch the flying bug, this flight time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL).

Availability: Operates seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Weekends can get very busy, if a weekend date is preferred, we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends). Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Please allow up to two hours at the venue, including a 60 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: The briefing may be shared. The flight itself will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch take-off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. Minimum height is 4′ 10”. Maximum weight is 17 stone. Maximum height is 6’4”. For security reasons photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced on the day in order to fly. Other Info: This flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL). To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying are required.
