Description

We believe it’s a whole different world from thousands of feet up and bears no resemblance to being in a gigantic plane, so see if you agree when you take to the skies in a dual-controlled two-seater Cessna training plane on this full hour long flying experience. These craft let you sit side by side with a fully qualified instructor. On the ground they will already have talked you through a full safety briefing, so once you are in the plane they can go over the controls and if you are feeling like a budding pilot, you can even take over yourself and fly the plane. You may even get the bug and want to go for your own pilots licence.

Availability: Seven days a week all year round, including bank holidays. The venue is closed on Christmas Day. Weekends can get very busy, if you want a weekend date we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance. Weather: Flying is weather dependent and it’s essential that you call the venue for a weather check. For morning bookings call the day before, for afternoon/evening bookings call before setting out. Cancelled flights can be rebooked direct. Duration: Your experience will last for about 80 minutes, including your 60 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: Your briefing might be shared. Your flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch you take off and land. A pair of binoculars or a camera will come in handy. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: From M25 exit junction 8 and follow the A217 towards Reigate. Take the A25 to Redhill and join the A23 following signs to East Surrey Hospital. Continue past the hospital for a mile and the aerodrome is clearly signposted. Restrictions: Maximum height is 6′. Maximum weight is 14 stone. Other Info: Your flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL). To qualify for a PPL you need 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying. If you have ever wanted to be a pilot, this is a great way to get started.
