For those looking to get a taste of light aircraft flying, this 60 minute motor gliding experience in Stratford-Upon-Avon is ideal. Combining the close proximity thrills usually enjoyed from the cockpit of a glider, with the powered manouverability of a small plane, this nimble dual-controlled craft offers a unique flying experience. Marvel at bird’s-eye views of the countryside below while the CAA qualified instructor shows off the motor glider’s sustained soaring capabilities, before you take over the controls to experience the unique sensation of piloting the aircraft first-hand. The instructor even takes a photo of you in action as a memento!

Availability: Seven days a week throughout the year, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it can re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Expect to be at the venue for around an hour and a half, including a briefing and 60 minutes of flying time. Numbers On Day: The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. Maximum height is 6’4” and maximum weight is 16 stone.
