Perfect for a pair of aquatic thrill seekers, this James Bond style powerboat thrill in Southampton is as close as it gets to feeling like 007 on open water. During the session, both experience the raw power of two of the UK’s most impressive powerboats under the expert guidance of a professional instructor. First, take control of a colossal Honda powerboat and open up the throttle using The Solent as your aquatic playground, before racing against the clock on a demanding offshore racing circuit. Next, both jump into the passenger seat of the mighty Jet Viper and hold on tight as your skipper pulls off donuts, spins and side slides and other moves on the open water. This is sure to be one fast and furious powerboating experience to remember!

Availability: Weekend dates from April to mid October. Book at least four weeks in advance (please be aware that bookings are taken up to a maximum of three months ahead). Weather: Powerboating is a weather-dependent activity. It’s essential to call the venue for a weather check between 5pm and 7pm on the day before the experience to check weather conditions. Duration: Lasts for around four hours, including a total of two hours on the water. Numbers On Day: Share the experience with up to three others, plus the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to wave you off from the shore. Tell them to bring a camera and a pair of binoculars. Dress Code: Dress warmly and bring waterproofs and a change of clothes. Bear in mind that there is a high wind-chill factor aboard the boat. Wear non-slip shoes (e.g. trainers or deck shoes). An old pair of sunglasses/ski goggles will be useful if it is windy. Guidelines: From M27, exit J3 onto M271 following signs to ‘Waterfront’. With Ocean Village on your right, drive straight on, under bridge until you reach T junction with ‘The Chapel Arms’ ahead. Turn right, then right again at roundabout by St. Mary’s Stadium (into Belvidere Road). Pick up signposts for Shamrock Quay and turn right into William Street. From M3, exit J14 onto A33, then follow directions as above. Please telephone if you have any problems. Restrictions: Minimum age is 12 but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
