The Ariel Atom is made with lightweight material, no roof or doors and hardly any body panels with the aim to make it as quick as possible – and with the ability to go from 0 – 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, this vehicle does not disappoint. Affectionately called the ‘pocket rocket’ due to its swift nature, this is a great car for those with a need for speed. Upon reaching Oulton Park, receive a safety briefing from a qualified instructor and some driving tuition on how best to handle this little beauty. The take centre stage and whizz around Oulton Park for six hair-raising miles of the 1.6 mile long track.

Availability: At least one date every other month throughout the year. Dates fill very quickly, so we recommend booking 12 weeks in advance. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for up to two hours, including a briefing and time driving the Ariel Atom. Please arrive 30 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There might be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Friends and family are welcome and there are excellent spectating and catering facilities on-site. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes. A helmet is provided. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 18. Maximum weight is 18 stone. Minimum height is 5’3”, maximum 6’4”. Must have held a full British or international manual driving licence for at least 12 months and bring it on the day in order to participate. Other Info: The race circuit is MSA (Motor Sports Association) approved for quality and safety. The organiser was established in 1978 and is a founder member of The Association of Racing Drivers’ Schools. All instructors here are ARDS qualified. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
