Get behind the wheel of the ultimate pocket rocket – the mighty Ariel Atom! With no roof or doors, a top speed of 150 mph and an acceleration rate of 0 – 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds, this car provides a driving experience unlike any other. Kick off with a welcome and safety briefing from an experienced instructor, who’ll also go through basic racing lines and techniques. Then it’s your turn – grab the wheel for six stunning miles in the super quick Ariel Atom, negotiating every twist, turn and bend of the Leeds Raceway circuit. After catching some breath, take home a certificate as a special memento of an amazing driving experience.

Availability: At least one Friday, Saturday or Sunday date per month from May to November. We recommend allowing several weeks advance booking notice for this particularly popular experience. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. high winds, ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. The venue makes contact if the experience is cancelled for any reason. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for up to an hour, including briefing and driving laps. Please arrive 45 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis although briefings may be shared. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and a camera will come in handy. The venue offers good facilities for spectators and drivers. Pets are not allowed. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) with trousers, long sleeves and narrow, flat-soled shoes to negotiate pedals that are close together. A helmet is provided. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum height is 4’10”, maximum is 6’5”. Maximum weight is 19 stone. A full British or international manual driving licence is required (bring both parts on the day to guarantee participation). Other Info: When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
