Drive two spectacular cars at the great Thruxton race circuit. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage and the Porsche Cayman both offer outstanding performance that will leave you grinning from ear to ear. Start with a briefing on safety and driving techniques. Your instructor will then drive you for two laps in a Porsche Cayman to demonstrate circuit driving techniques. Next up you’ll drive three fantastic laps in the Porsche Cayman. Finally enjoy three laps driving a truly great British supercar, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The 380bhp V8 engine growls to a top speed of in excess of 170mph, reaching 60mph in just 4.8 seconds. This experience is guaranteed to satisfy any driving enthusiast.

Availability: Selected Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from February to November. At least two dates per month. Dates fill very quickly, so please allow at least six weeks advance booking notice. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Any unused laps are credited for another visit. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for approximately two and a half hours, including your briefing, safety guidance, driving time and debrief. Please arrive a few minutes in advance of your booked start time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: Your briefing will be shared. All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera will come in handy. The venue offers good facilities for spectators and drivers. Children must be closely supervised at all times and dogs are not permitted at any circuits. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (preferably avoiding synthetic clothing) and wear narrow, flat-soled shoes. A helmet and any special clothing you need will be provided. Guidelines: Thruxton circuit is adjacent to and well signposted from the A303 between the M3 and M4, approximately one and a half hours from London. Proceed through the main entrance, up the drive and through the tunnel. The tunnel entrance is slightly off to the left at the top of the rise. Turn immediately left into the paddock car park and at the far end you will see the media centre building where you will need to sign in. Restrictions: Maximum height is 6’3”. Maximum weight is 18 stone. You’ll have to sign a disclaimer confirming that you hold a full British or international manual driving licence, are in good health and don’t have any disabilities that might impair your driving. Other Info: Thruxton is the fastest circuit in the UK and a popular course in the British Touring Car championships. You’ll drive the full 2.4 mile circuit. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
