The Audi R8 is a fantastic piece of German engineering and at Prestwold enjoy an unrivalled driving experience in Leicestershire. The futuristic construction and luxury refinement of the Audi R8 is exciting to drive as it is to look at. The 1.8 mile race track is just begging to be torn around for four breathtaking laps in the 4.2 litre R8 with its V8 engine capable of hitting top speeds of 187 mph. Be given ample time to get familiarised with the circuit thanks to a dedicated instructor. Driving style is assessed by the instructor and receive a special certificate as a memento of this great driving experience.

Availability: Selected Saturdays and occasional Thursdays, averaging three dates per month. We recommend allowing several weeks advance booking notice for this particularly popular experience. The circuit closes annually from mid December to early January. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. high winds, ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. The venue makes contact if the experience is cancelled for any reason. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for between half an hour to up to two hours, including briefing and driving laps (driving time is up to ten minutes in total). Please arrive 45 minutes in advance of the booked time. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis although briefings may be shared. During familiarisation laps in the hot hatch share the car with up to two other participants as well as the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. Children must be closely supervised at all times. Prestwold Hall boasts an American style diner with food, refreshments and a view of some of the action. Dogs are not permitted. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes. A helmet and any special equipment is provided. Guidelines: Prestwold Hall is east of Loughborough and accessible from the A6 (take the B675) and the M1 motorway (exit at junction 23, take the A512 to Loughborough, the A60 towards Nottingham and then the B676 and B675). Restrictions: Minimum height is 5’2”, maximum is 6’6”. Maximum weight is 18 stone. A full British or international manual driving licence held for at least 12 months must be brought on the day in order to participate. Other Info: Feel free to spend the day at Prestwold Hall and watch the other experiences taking place. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
