Available in some grand settings, including Burghley House, Hatfield House, Blenheim Palace, Highclere Castle and Ragley Hall, this classical Battle Proms British summer concert provides an evening unlike any other. Bring a picnic and soak in the ambience while watching Cavalry and Infantry display before a vintage field gun opens proceedings. A choreographed display from Carolyn Grace in her LF Mark IX Spitfire before the New English Concert Orchestra performs a raft of powerful classical pieces, including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture with live cannon fire. Celebrations culminate in a traditional flag waving proms finale with Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and other favourites led by Channel 4’s winning soprano Denise Leigh, followed by fireworks.
