Description
Take in a live Battle Proms classical concert in the scenic grounds of Blenheim Palace while tucking in to a delicious picnic of food and wine. The evening begins with Napoleonic Cavalry and Infantry displays before a vintage field gun fires a volley of shots to begin proceedings. Then Carolyn Grace provides an LF Max IX Spitfire display to accompany the opening piece. An impressive selection of classical music is provided by The New English Concert Orchestra, including Beethoven’s Battle Symphony performed with 193 live cannons and muskets and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. The evening comes to a close with inspiring performances of Jerusalem and Rule Britannia and a breathtaking firework display.
