The experience begins with a thorough tour of the aviaries, where you will both get the chance to have a good look at the different species and learn about the rich history of this ancient activity. Then, an experienced bird handler will teach you about best practice when handling a bird of prey, the essentials of falconry to get you both handling birds to become totally comfortable. Next, step up to the plate and put on the falconer’s glove. Fly a bird over Gloucestershire countryside and watch as it returns to your fist. Refreshments are included as well as a falconry display.
