Start proceedings with a briefing and then slide into the driver’s seat of the BMW i8 and get ready for the drive of a lifetime. Take charge of this mighty supercar for six adrenaline-fuelled miles of Prestwold’s challenging circuit, negotiating every sudden twist, turn, bend and straight with an instructor sitting in the passenger seat, ready to offer tips. Take home a personalised driving certificate as a special keepsake.

Availability: Weekend and weekday dates throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. Please allow at least eight weeks advance booking notice for this popular experience. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like ice or heavy rain, when driving at speed might become dangerous. In the event of cancellation, contact is made. Duration: Lasts around one hour including a briefing, two demonstration laps and six miles of hands-on driving time. Numbers On Day: Briefings may be shared. All driving time is held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome at Prestwold Hall, which boasts an American-style diner with a great view of some of the action. High-speed passenger rides can be purchased on the day. Children must be closely supervised at all times. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) and wear narrow, flat-soled shoes to negotiate pedals that are close together. A helmet is provided. Guidelines: Prestwold Hall is east of Loughborough and accessible from the A6 (take the B675) and the M1 motorway (exit at junction 23, take the A512 to Loughborough, the A60 towards Nottingham and then the B676 and B675). Restrictions: Maximum weight is 19 stone. Minimum height is 5” and maximum 6’5”. A full British or international manual driving licence held for at least 12 months must be produced on the day in order to participate. A health declaration must be signed. Other Info: The circuit measures 1.8 miles in total. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge.
