Bear Grylls is the ultimate survivor, as proven on his popular TV shows ‘Man vs. Wild’, ‘Running Wild’ and ‘The Island’. Test strength and courage on this extreme four day survival skills course. Run by highly trained instructors, each hand-picked by Bear and his team, learn survival techniques such as knife use, knots and improvised harnesses, navigation, improvised First Aid, practical use of snares and traps, purifying water, foraging, skinning and gutting wild food, self defence and primal instinct training. Endure the final training stage at Commando Gorge, where the Royal Marines carry out their gruelling exercises. The three days culminate with a 24 hour challenge where you must survive on the moor as a team Who will have what it takes?

Availability: Courses run at least once a month from April to October. Weather: This event would only be cancelled or curtailed in adverse weather conditions. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Arrive at the course location meeting point on day one and depart four days later. On completion of the course, receive the coveted Bear Grylls Survival Academy badge and completion certificate. Numbers On Day: This course is strictly limited to a maximum of 10 participants and three Bear Grylls Survival Academy Instructors. Please note that Bear Grylls will not actually be there on the event. Spectators: Dress Code: All clothing and equipment you bring MUST be appropriate to the environment and time of year. There are a number of mandatory must have items, including robust mountain boots and waterproofs. A full list is provided at time of booking. Guidelines: Restrictions: Min age 18. The Bear Grylls Survival Academy Courses are challenging both mentally and physically: in order to get the most from the course, participants should be relatively fit and healthy. Other Info: All meals and accommodation are included, and a large amount of equipment is provided such as a knife, mug, sleeping bag and liner, sleeping mat, rucksack and liner, head torch, water bottle and all technical safety equipment.
