Description

This is great fun for the family so get a group of four together and take yourselves off to Diggerland in Kent, the original Diggerland park, first opened in 2000 from an original idea by the owner of HE Services (Plant Hire) Ltd. He saw the immense popularity from children and adults for the opportunity to ride and drive heavy construction vehicles during company open days, and the rest is history. You can have a go at dumper trucks, mini diggers and giant diggers on the day (all under strict supervision of the many qualified instructors who are available) as well as going on rides together such as Sky Shuttle – or how about getting shaken and stirred on the Spin Dizzy?

Availability: The park is open at weekends and bank holidays from February to the end of October and seven days a week during local school holidays. It closes during November, December and January. Weather: Diggerland is predominantly an outdoor experience but, although rare, they may restrict some rides in the event of very poor weather. Duration: The park opens at 10am and guests are free to stay until 5pm (or 4pm in February). Numbers On Day: Spectators: Any additional adults or children (aged 3 and over) can pay on the day to enter Diggerland. The parks do not allow entry of dogs, with the exception of guide dogs. Why not take your own picnic? Dress Code: Please dress for comfort and wear suitable footwear such as trainers or wellies. There is a chance that you may get a little muddy, so bringing a change of footwear is a good idea. Guidelines: Exit junction 2 of the M2 and go underneath the M2, then follow the A228 signs towards Strood. Turn right at the roundabout into Medway Valley Leisure Park and Roman Way. Diggerland is on the right-hand side. Restrictions: Children (under 13) must be accompanied and supervised by their guardian(s). Height restrictions apply on all rides/drives and those under 90cm are too small. Some children may also need to be accompanied on some rides/drives by an adult. Other Info: Diggerland does not permit the use of bbqs. Although not included in the price, empty tummies can be refuelled at The Dig Inn, with a selection of snacks, burgers, salads etc (be aware credit cards are not accepted in the food area).
