Description
The concept of Diggerland was born a few years ago and realised in 2001. This park in Devon followed the one which had opened in Kent the year before. Children (and adults) alike have continued to be fascinated with the machinery and the rest is Diggerland history. Take the opportunity to ride some of the many different types of construction machinery, including dumper trucks, mini diggers and giant diggers. There are plenty of fully trained instructors on hand to ensure safety at all times, they can even explain how the machines work for those whose interests are of the mechanical persuasion. Diggerland is a day out with a difference and offers an experience to excite the biggest adventurer.
Availability: The park is open at weekends and bank holidays from February to the end of October and seven days a week during local school holidays. It closes during November, December and January. Weather: Diggerland is predominantly an outdoor experience but, although rare, they may restrict some rides in the event of very poor weather. Duration: The park opens at 10am and guests are welcome to stay until 5pm (or 4pm in February). Numbers On Day: Spectators: Additional adults or children (over 90 cms) can pay on the day to enter Diggerland. The parks do not allow entry of dogs, with the exception of guide dogs. Why not take your own picnic? Dress Code: Please dress for comfort and wear suitable footwear such as trainers or wellies. There is a chance that you may get a little muddy, so bringing a change of footwear is a good idea. Guidelines: Exit the M5 at junction 27 and head East on the A38 towards Willand. Turn right at the roundabout onto the B3181. Diggerland is three miles down on the left hand side. Restrictions: Children (under 13) must be accompanied and supervised by their guardian(s). Height restrictions apply on all rides/drives and those under 90cm are too small. Some children may also need to be accompanied on some rides/drives by an adult. Other Info: Diggerland does not permit the use of bbqs. Although not included in the price, empty tummies can be refuelled at The Dig Inn, with a selection of snacks, burgers, salads etc (be aware credit cards are not accepted in the food area).
