Head for the open seas with this challenging deep sea fishing adventure for two, based in Cardiff. Begin by meeting an expert instructor for a discussion on fishing ability (don’t worry if you have no experience) before boarding a 30 foot fishing vessel. Spend 30 – 40 minutes cruising out to the Bristol Channel to a prime fishing spot. Spend the day preparing bait, casting out and catching a variety of fish under the tuition of a seasoned fisherman. In winter expect to catch cod, whiting and blonde rays and in summer, dogfish, conger eels and bass. Tea and coffee is served throughout and anything caught can be filleted to cook up at home. A must for any keen or budding fishermen!

Availability: Seven days a week throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. Weather: As the experience is so weather dependent, please make contact direct at least 24 hours in advance of the booking to confirm go ahead. Duration: Lasts around eight hours, meeting usually from 7 – 8am, and includes six hours of hands-on fishing time. Numbers On Day: Share the experience with up seven other people, plus a skipper and the instructor. Spectators: Dress Code: All fishing equipment and bait is provided, but please bring waterproofs and wear old clothes. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 18 with no previous experience required. Other Info: Hot drinks are provided but please bring a packed lunch.
