Description
This earring making course in Buckinghamshire offers a creative introduction to jewellery design and contemporary silversmithing techniques. Begin with a welcome refreshment (tea, coffee or orange juice) and overview of the course before getting hands-on in the workshop. Learn to how to use fine silver in the form of PMC (precious metal clay) under the expert guidance of experienced PMC tutors in order to create a personalised ring design. Following a demonstration of all specialist tools and equipment, make a dazzling pair of solid silver stud or pendant style earrings to take home as a special memento.
Availability: One date per month throughout the year. Weather: Duration: The experience starts at 10am and ends at 4pm (including a one hour lunch break). Numbers On Day: A maximum of six budding jewellery designers take part, guided by a tutor throughout. Spectators: The workshop is exclusively for paying participants. Dress Code: Health and safety guidelines dictate that all participants must have fully covered footwear, so no sandals please. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 12. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No jewellery-making experience is necessary. Other Info: Lunch is not included but the class does break for an hour midway through.
