Description
Experience a magical theatre tour for two and see parts of this famous West End playhouse not normally seen by the public. Have lunch before or a two-course dinner after the tour at either the Thai Square Covent Garden, Pizza Express (The Strand) or Fire and Stone restaurant. For those who prefer something lighter, cream tea at Boulevard Brasserie as an alternative. Next, head to the Grade I listed building and enter through the stage door into the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, one of London’s oldest, largest and most magnificent theatres. The atmosphere of the guided tour is brought to life by professional actors disguised as famous characters who have played important roles in the theatre’s history.
Availability: Tours happen Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday at 2.15pm and 4.15pm, and Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 10.30am and 11.45am. Excludes Christmas and New Year. Currently booking until the end of December 2016. Weather: Duration: The meal is booked for 1pm lunch or 6pm dinner. Afternoon tea is served between 3pm to 5pm. The tour lasts approximately one hour. Numbers On Day: Expect to share your tour with up to 50 other theatre fans. Spectators: Dress Code: There is a fair amount of walking and climbing stairs involved, we recommend flat, closed in footwear. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum is age eight and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
