Start with a fast-track entrance into Edinburgh’s most popular tourist attraction, which dominates the skyline and parts of which date back as far as 12th century. The fortress on Castle Rock today houses the Scottish regalia, Scottish National War Museum, regimental museums, and is home to a continued British Army presence.
