Begin with a detailed fight and safety briefing before getting in to a Top Gun-style flight suit and boarding a high performance lightweight two seater Extra 300 aircraft (as flown in the Red Bull air races) and taking to the skies, sharing the Sussex airspace with a second Extra 300. After an airborne tactic demonstration and series of formation manoeuvres, take the controls and try out some moves of your own. Tailchase the other plane, getting behind the ‘enemy’ and transmitting ‘guns guns guns’ to watch smoke surge from the craft in front. Decide how far to push the boundaries and how much G-force to pull.
