Get ready to feel like James Bond, speeding through the Solent on a RIB (rigid inflatable boat) with the wind whipping through your hair. This adrenaline-packed experience is ideal for thrill seekers and those who love a bit of sea air. After a safety briefing and a demonstration of the safety equipment, board the RIB and head to the Solent. Once on the water, hold on tight and see what the RIB can really do – riding the swell or jumping the wake as the driver steps it up a gear. After taking in the River Hamble, Calshot Castle (built for Henry VIII) and Bramble Bank, return to Southampton with more tight turns, jumps and wake rides all the way back.

Availability: Runs on Saturdays, Sundays, bank holidays and very occasional weekdays from early March to late October. Weather: Extreme weather conditions can result in cancellation and rebooking, please call the venue if in doubt. Duration: Lasts around an hour and a half, including safety briefing and life jacket fitting. Numbers On Day: Share the vessel with up to 11 other powerboating enthusiasts. Spectators: Guests are welcome at the marina. Facilities are excellent and include restaurants and jetties packed with high performance and luxury powerboats. Once participants are out in the open water, it is not be possible to view the action. Dress Code: Wear casual clothing and bring a change of clothes in case of getting wet from the spray. A waterproof jacket and salopettes can be hired for £5. Guidelines: Restrictions: Unsuitable for pregnant women and those with previous back or neck problems. Min age 8 but under 18’s must be accompanied by a paying adult (one per child under 16). No max age, however, participants must be fit and healthy.
