Embark on a fun-filled family steam railway trip, taking in many of Cumbria’s most stunning sights along the way. Begin at Ravenglass, the Lake District National Park’s only coastal village, before boarding the train to begin an adventure across the estuary and through many of Cumbria’s rolling hills, ending at Boot Station, Dalegarth. Go on to roam the many cycling and walking trails of the Lake District National Park, soak in magnificent panoramic views, or sit back and enjoy refreshments in the visitor centre whilst the kids make the most of the play area. With seven request stops along the way (to hop on and off) and both open and closed carriages available, this really is a family day out to remember!

Availability: Services operate seven days a week between March and October and are busiest during summer weekends. Weather: Duration: Tickets are valid for one day. Services start at 9.30am and finish at 6pm (4.30pm in winter). Please check the timetable for specific departure times as they vary throughout the year. Numbers On Day: Each train can carry between 80 and 100 passengers. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to wave from the platform, or can purchase their own tickets on the day. Dress Code: Guidelines: Restrictions: This experience is for two adults (aged 18 or over) and two children (aged 5 to 15), under-five’s can go free. Wheelchair access can be arranged, please advise at the point of booking. Other Info: The booking letter MUST be presented on arrival. Time printed in it is a guide and guests are welcome to hop on and off throughout the day.
