Description
For an unbelievable adrenaline rush, try flybiking in Reading – the newest craze to hit the world of watersports in the UK. The equipment consists of a bike-like frame that propels riders over water at heights of up to 20 feet, using three high powered jets. Starting with a safety briefing and tuition from a fully trained instructor, get confident using and controlling this exciting device. Taking place in a 25 acre freshwater lake, start with your head just above the surface and within a few seconds, soar into the air. Using balance and skill, try and fly for as long as possible before plunging back into the water. The unique experience of flybiking is a must-try for any self-respecting adrenaline junkie.
Availability: Fridays between May and October. Weather: This experience is only cancelled in instances of flooding. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be on site for around two hours, with around 20 minutes flybiking. Numbers On Day: Share the experience with up to five other flybikers and a qualified instructor. Spectators: Spectators are more than welcome. There is a raised seating area overlooking the action, children’s play areas, a licensed bar and snacks and hot and cold drinks sold onsite. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a lead. Dress Code: Please bring swimming trunks or costume, a towel and water shoes or old trainers. Glasses must be secured tightly. Showers, a wetsuit, bouyancy aid and helment are provided. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16 (under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who can sign an indemnity on their behalf). Maximum weight is 18 stone.
