Description

Experience the elegance of gliding with a sensational aerotow flight. Once airborne, use rising thermals to seamlessly glide through the clouds and soar like a bird. Start off with a detailed briefing, before hopping aboard a dual-controlled glider with a qualified instructor to take to the skies. A light aircraft tows the glider and once at an altitude of around 2,000 ft, the rope is released, setting the glider free to sweep effortlessly through the air. During the flight, take over the reins to experience the genuine thrill of flying.

Availability: The summer flying season (around April to September) runs Monday to Friday. The winter season runs from 1 October to 30 April and during this time flights take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Weather: Gliding is weather dependent. It is crucial to call the venue after 9am for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled due to the weather it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: The length of glider flights depends entirely on the prevailing thermals (currents of warmer air that provide the lift). As a guide, your aerotow flight should last for between 12 and 20 minutes. Numbers On Day: Briefings may be shared, but the flight is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor.
