Description
The ideal experience for Formula 1 enthusiasts; why not book a thrilling go karting driving day for two in Glasgow? If you’ve sat in front of your television screen and wondered what it would be like to challenge friends and family to burning rubber and going wheel-to-wheel, then this is the activity day for you. Many of the recent Formula 1 world champions such as Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button previously made their name in the driving world with karting success, and now you too can follow in their hallowed footsteps. This driving experience at Glasgow consists of four race heats in a bid to qualify to become one of the fastest eight drivers of the day in the final race off and secure the title of ultimate champ.
Availability: Saturdays only. The venue is closed on Sundays and over the Christmas and New Year period. Weather: This is an indoor track which isn’t affected by the weather. Duration: The session lasts between 90 and 180 minutes, including around 30 – 40 minutes driving time. Numbers On Day: The number of competitors can vary from 20 to 40. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. The venue has a cafe, viewing terrace for spectators and a games room. Dress Code: Wear flat shoes or trainers. A race suit and helmet are provided. Guidelines: Scotkart is located on John Knox Street in the West End of Glasgow. It is easily located from the A814, the nearest railway station is Yoker. Restrictions: Minimum age is 16.
