Fancy all the excitement, breathlessness and pure joy of going round the track at competition speeds, without having to get behind the wheel? Be instructed during a short briefing, before being driven an amazing two laps around Donington Park, at immense speed by a qualified motor racing instructor. Hop into the passenger seat of either a race prepared a Lotus Elise, Abarth 500 or Alfa Romeo Giulietta and experience the thrill of Donington Park’s grand prix loop which has a flexible configuration with extensive run-off areas, meaning the driver can fully exploit the vehicle’s potential. Availability: Available in 2017 on the 25 August and 27 October only. Dates fill very quickly, so we recommend booking 12 weeks in advance. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: The two lap ride lasts for approximately six minutes. Please arrive 30 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: Just you and the driver share the car. There might be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are cafe/clubhouse facilities on-site. Get them to bring a camera. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved top and trainers or flat-soled shoes. A helmet is provided. Guidelines: Exit the M1 at junction 23a or junction 24 and follow the signs for East Midlands Airport (A453). Drive past the traffic lights at the main airport entrance and follow the brown tourist signs for Donington Park. On entering Donington Park follow the brown tourist signs for ‘pits and paddocks’ and make your way to the Paddock Suite in the main paddock area through the security gate. Restrictions: Maximum weight 18 stone. Minimum height 4’6”, maximum 6’4”. There are no formal age restrictions but under 18’s must get their indemnity form signed by a parent or guardian.
