Description

Prepare to be left spell-bound by a Formula 1 style high-speed passenger ride for two around the Knockhill race circuit. This famous 1.3 mile British touring car circuit is a great challenge for professional drivers, so sit back and allow the instructor to chauffeur you around the race track for three laps. It is the closest you will ever come to becoming a Grand Prix driver yourself, as you feel the physical and mental challenges of the racing lines, cornering and acceleration that are required to beat the field. At the end of your high-speed ride you will receive a certificate to remind you of this unforgettable experience.

Availability: Selected weekday race school days throughout the year. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for approximately 30 minutes. Each lap is 1.3 miles in length. Numbers On Day: Just you and the driver in the car. There might be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome, ask them to bring a camera. There are basic cafe facilities on-site. Please note that pets are not permitted. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved top and trainers or flat-soled shoes. A helmet is provided. Bring wet weather gear if it’s raining. Guidelines: From Edinburgh: take the M90 across the Forth Road Bridge towards Dunfermline then join the B914 at junction 4 (signed Kelty) then go onto the A823 – Knockhill is on the right. Alternatively from Glasgow: follow the A977 to Powmill and take the turn off to join the A823 as noted above. Restrictions: Minimum age is 10. Minimum height is 4’2”, maximum is 6’2”. Maximum weight is 16 stone. Other Info: Please note: you won’t drive the car yourself and you’ll take your rides separately.
