Experience the sheer thrill and exciting versatility of riding a hovercraft during an intensive session for two in Bedfordshire, with an expert instructor on hand, helping to make things easy. Starting with a safety briefing, get stuck in by getting to grips with the controls with the instructors guidance, and learn how to fly on land. When you both feel ready to progress, venture to the 20 acre lake and master the art of gliding sideways, taking the craft to speeds of up to 40 mph. Enjoy exclusive time with the instructor and both get 30 minutes in control of this impressive vehicle. Availability: Runs on Saturdays, Sundays and occasional weekdays from March to November. Weather: Only high winds, thunderstorms or flooding prevent the experience from running. If in any doubt, please call the venue before setting off. Duration: Lasts around one hour (from arrival on-site), including sign in, an instructor briefing, 30 minutes of solo hovercraft driving time each and a debrief. Numbers On Day: The session is shared exclusively between two participants and the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. The venue has a large clubhouse with a licensed bar and cafe. Guests are welcome to stay and watch other activities taking place. Dress Code: Bring a towel – you will get wet! Dress suitably for the outdoors in closed toe shoes and clothes that are fine to get dirty, wet or damaged. There are shower and changing facilities. Guidelines: Wyboston Corporate Events Centre is adjacent to the A1 on the Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire border near St. Neots, travelling either north or south on the A1. Exit at the sign for Cambridge and St. Neots (A428) and go around the roundabout as if going back onto the A1 southbound. Entrance is around 60 metres on the left. Restrictions: Minimum age is 18 and maximum is 79 (to include free personal accident insurance). Maximum weight is 17 stone. Other Info: The venue offers ample free parking.
