Description
The wind tunnel is a force to be reckoned with – originally used to test the aerodynamics of aeroplanes, the tunnel can easily support human body weight, creating the unique sensation of freefall without having to head to the skies. Kick off with a full safety briefing before being kitted out in a flight suit and stepping into the wind tunnel. Once ready, experience two thrilling 60 second body flying sessions with your instructor on hand throughout to offer tips and encouragement. Finish with a debrief and for some flyers, the instructor even jumps onto the airflow to demonstrate some serious aerial gymnastics!
Availability: Available seven days a week throughout the year. The centre is closed on Christmas Day but operates on bank holidays. Weather: The tunnel is indoors and isn’t affected by the weather. All flights are held on a one-to-one basis in the wind tunnel with a fully qualified instructor – you won’t jump together, but will watch each other’s flights from the gallery.
