Try one of the fastest growing watersports in a fun group environment. During the kayaking session, learn the essentials of paddle and boat control as well as general river safety. Once ready, head out into calm sections of the river under the guidance of qualified instructors. Take a trip through the scenic Jephson Gardens and the local nature reserve to explore, take part in challenges and put newfound kayaking skills to the test. Originally developed by indigenous people of Arctic regions, kayaks were used to hunt on lakes, rivers and coastal waters. The first ones were made of stitched animal skins such as seal stretched over a wooden frame, but today kayaks are rather more high tech!
