Now even juniors can experience the thrills and spills of motor racing with this fun-fuelled karting session at a top outdoor track. Both of these venues are where the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button started their motoring careers, so whichever one you choose, it certainly won’t disappoint. The exact itinerary differs according to venue, but both begin with an all-important safety briefing. At Buckmore Park, enjoy two separate 15 minute high-speed karting sessions and at Rye House, take part in one full-throttle 30 minute stint of driving action. This fun and exciting karting experience is an absolute must for any kid with a budding passion for motor racing!
Availability: Runs all year round. In Hertfordshire could be any weekend or weekday date once a month. In Kent, a weekday during school holidays only. Weather: Racing can be cancelled in circumstances which would make driving at speed dangerous. Duration: Includes 30 minutes of driving time but expect to spend a minimum of an hour and a quarter on-site. Numbers On Day: Between four and six karts are on the circuit at any one time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and both venues offer excellent on-site facilities. Dress Code: All specialist racing gear and helmet are provided. Wear flat shoes and remove scarves for driving. Guidelines: Receive further location details when a date has been booked. Restrictions: Minimum age is 4 – 5 (depending on venue), maximum age is 7.
