This adrenaline-fuelled experience at Stafford Activity Centre is a must for any keen driving enthusiast. Begin with a full safety briefing before getting behind the wheel of the powerful Lamborghini Gallardo for over six thrilling miles of a specially designed race circuit. After catching a breath, hop into the driving seat of the highly-acclaimed Subaru Impreza for over six miles. Finally, receive a challenging 4×4 taster – navigate the vehicle through the many twists, turns and inclines of a purpose-built off road course under the guidance of a qualified instructor. The experience concludes with an overall driving analysis and certificate presentation.

Availability: Runs around four times a month, and can be on a Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday or Thursday. The circuit is closed from early December to mid-January. Weather: Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue Monday – Friday (if in any doubt). Duration: Expect to be up to four hours at the venue, including briefing and driving time. Please be aware that sessions start from 8am and sessions booked between 11am – 3pm incur a £10 charge. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are shared. There will be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and each one is entitled to a free 4×4 off road passenger ride. Other extra (chargable) drives and passenger rides are available on the day subject to availability. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) with trousers, long sleeves and narrow, flat-soled shoes to negotiate pedals that are close together. A helmet is provided. Guidelines: Exit the M6 at j14. At the roundabout take the exit signed A5013 Eccleshall then continue through Creswell onto Great Bridgeford and take a left turn to the B5405 Woodseaves. Ignore the left into Clanford Road signed Seighford but turn left when you see signs for ‘Driving Experience Registration’ into Clanford Road opposite the Ladfordfields Ind Estate. Pass the Gliding Club and the entrance to the Driving Centre is on the right. Restrictions: Maximum weight is 18 stone and maximum height is 6’6”. A full manual driving licence must be produced on the day to guarantee participation. Other Info: From 7.45am – 5.45pm a free minibus operates every 30 minutes between Stafford train station and the Stafford Activity Centre. Participants who choose this greener way to travel receive a £10 voucher and spectators a £5 voucher to spend on-site. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
