The name McLaren is synonymous with supercars that are capable of things normal motors can only dream of. Make like an A-list star and get behind the wheel of a McLaren 570S for an amazing driving experience. Once you’ve arrived at Elvington, which is based on an extensive airfield, there will be a welcome as well as an intro and safety talk. Then it’s time to drive for a full six miles. This is where this sensational car really comes into its own. After the drive is over, you’ll be awarded a certificate as a keepsake of the day.

Availability: At least one weekend date a month from February to November, plus very occasional Fridays and Mondays. Dates fill very quickly, so we recommend booking several weeks (at least six) in advance. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. high winds, ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. The venue will contact you if the experience is cancelled for any reason. Duration: Lasts between one and two hours, including a welcome, briefing and six miles driving time. Numbers On Day: Actual driving time is held on a one-to-one basis. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there is a diner or snack wagon at the venue. Children must be closely supervised at all times. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes. Any special equipment will be provided. You’re welcome to bring your own crash helmet if you have one (which will be tested by the instructor before you drive). Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum height is 5′, maximum is 6’5”. Maximum weight is 19 stone. You’ll need a full British or international manual driving licence: bring both parts with you on the day to guarantee participation. Other Info: When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
