Meet the Ikarus C42 and once you fly in it, we’re sure you will agree that a fixed wing microlight is definitely an aerial sensation unlike any other. Following a detailed pre-flight briefing, hop into the microlight with an experienced instructor to get ready for take-off. Once in the air, admire sensational aerial views from the cockpit whilst the pilot effortlessly navigates the craft through the clouds. During the flight (under the guidance of the instructor), take over the controls to experience the unrivalled thrill of light aviation first-hand. This flying experience is inclusive of a one day club membership and the flying time can count towards a microlight Private Pilot’s licence.

Availability: Seven days a week all year round, excluding 24, 25 and 26 December. Weather: Microlighting is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential to call the venue between 9am – 8pm for a weather check. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts for about 40 minutes, including a 30 minute flight. Numbers On Day: Briefings may be shared. The flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to come along and watch take off and land. A camera or a pair of binoculars will come in handy. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Maximum weight is 14 stone and minimum age is 16. Minimum height is 4′ 6” and max height is 6′ 6”. Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who’ll be required to sign a disclaimer. Other Info: Flying time can count towards a microlight private pilot’s licence, for which 15 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required to qualify. Please be aware that this is quite a high adrenaline experience, not for the faint-hearted.
