At the home of the British Grand Prix, get strapped into the open cockpit of a Silverstone Single Seater and get ready to the thrill of a lifetime. You’re only a couple of inches off the ground and you’ll know it; feel every bump and vibration, fighting not to oversteer as your super-responsive car reacts to every adjustment. Start with a briefing and once the car’s controls have been explained, head out onto the track behind a pace car for ten minutes in order to get used to the Formula Silverstone Single-Seater’s pin point steering and lightning acceleration. The second driving session is back on track for a further 20 minutes to put the pedal to the metal without the pace car. Finish this incredible session with a debrief.

Availability: Runs on weekends, at least one date every month throughout the year. The circuit closes between mid-December and mid-January for the winter shut-down. Weather: Motor racing may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice or severe rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the venue for approximately one and a half hours including briefing, tuition, driving time and a debrief. Total driving time is 30 minutes. Please arrive 30-40 minutes prior to the start time to attend the essential safety briefing. Numbers On Day: Briefings will be shared; there may be up to 12 people taking part at any one time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and can bring a camera to record your experience. Please note that pets are not permitted at any circuits. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and slim, flat-soled shoes (the pedals in these cars can be close together). Please don’t wear nylon clothing. A helmet will be provided. Guidelines: Silverstone lies on the A43 between Brackley and Towcester and is accessible from junction 15a of the M1, junction 10 (South) or 11 (North) of the M40. Follow the signs for Silverstone Circuit and drive through the main entrance at West 5 to the security gates. Security will then direct you to Drive Silverstone. Restrictions: Min height 5’2”, max 6’4”. Max age 70, max weight 18 stone. You must have held a manual driving licence for at least one year which you must present on the day. Other Info: Silverstone Single Seaters have open cockpits to give you a taste of real motor racing. At this world-class venue, drive the Stowe Circuit which is 1.08 miles long. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
