Imagine crashing through the undergrowth, dodging exploding paintballs, hiding in bunkers or spying on enemies from on high. On arrival, get kitted out with freshly laundered combat coveralls, full face protection paintball goggles and a top of the range semi-automatic paintball gun with 100 paintballs each. Begin with a full safety briefing with an experienced marshal before commencing play. This is a real chance to shake off those day-to-day responsibilities and rekindle your spirit of adventure. There are between six and eight games included in this full day experience, played out within differently themed areas and zones, set up to test skills of strategy, leadership, navigation and teamwork.
Availability: Every weekend throughout the year (excluding the last two weeks in August when the Leeds festival takes place). Weather: Paintballing will go ahead whatever the weather. Duration: Please expect to be at the venue for approximately eight hours. Each game lasts around 20 minutes. Numbers On Day: Work as part of a team of 15 to 20 people doing battle against an opposing group. There can be up to 250 participants on-site during the day; the more the merrier, extra soldiers make for more paintball challenging madness. Spectators: Because participants play in several different areas, spectators are not able to see the action and are required to remain in the safety zone at all times. Dress Code: Wear old clothes (ideally layers or thick, padded clothing) and trainers or walking boots. Expect to be provided with overalls, full face masks, goggles with eye, ear and throat protection and all other equipment. Guidelines: Exit the A1M at junction 45 and take the A64 towards Leeds. Exiting the roundabout get in the outside lane and turn right across the dual carriageway where the barrier breaks into the site entrance (ake care as the site is very close to the roundabout). Follow signs down the track where a member of the team will show you where to park. Restrictions: Minimum age 16. Paintballing is physically demanding and paintballs can bruise if you get hit. Other Info: Players tend to use around 400-500 paintballs over the day. Lunch and additional paintballs can be purchased on the day (balls costs around £7 per 100).
