Put the pedal to the metal with this adrenaline-pumping Porsche 911 Turbo thrill at the legendary Donington Park Race Circuit. Kick off with a safety briefing before climbing into the passenger seat of a sports saloon for four miles of demonstration laps, driven by a seasoned instructor. Once familiar with racing lines and driving techniques, the fun really starts – take the reins of the mighty 189 Porsche 911 Turbo (996 model) for six sensational miles of Donington’s acclaimed circuit and experience the outstanding capabilities of this mean machine first-hand! At the end, receive a full driving assessment and take home a certificate as a special memento.

Availability: Available in 2017 on the 25 August and 27 October only. Dates fill very quickly, so we recommend booking 12 weeks in advance. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for between an hour and two hours in total. Please arrive one hour in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There are likely to be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are cafe/clubhouse facilities on-site. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes. A helmet is provided. Guidelines: Exit the M1 at junction 23a or junction 24 and follow the signs for East Midlands Airport (A453). Drive past the traffic lights at the main airport entrance and follow the brown tourist signs for Donington Park. On entering Donington Park follow the brown tourist signs for ‘pits and paddocks’ and make your way to the Paddock Suite in the main paddock area through the security gate. Restrictions: Maximum weight is 18 stone. Minimum height is 4’11” and maximum is 6’5”. A full British or international manual driving licence must be produced on the day to guarantee participation. Other Info: The organiser was established in 1978 and is a founder member of The Association of Racing Drivers’ Schools. All instructors are ARDS qualified. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
