Description
Experience either the Porsche 996 or 997 versions of the 911 and the Nissan GT-R to find out first-hand just what makes these cars so special. The Porsche 911 is one of the world’s most iconic and stunning sports cars, while the GT-R is the UK’s fastest car in its range, with a top speed of 195 mph and an acceleration rate of 62 mph in a mere 3.5 seconds. Begin with a briefing on driving techniques with a seasoned instructor driving. Next, grab the wheel of the Porsche for six sensational miles before hopping into the Nissan GT-R for a further six miles of driving action. Finish up by collecting a certificate to take home.
Availability: At least one Friday, Saturday or Sunday date per month from May to November. We recommend allowing several weeks advance booking notice for this particularly popular experience. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. high winds, ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. The venue makes contact if the experience is cancelled for any reason. Duration: Lasts approximately two hours. This includes briefing, safety guidance, driving time and debrief. Please arrive 45 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: Up to 30 people take part. Briefings are shared with a group. All driving is held on a one-to-one basis. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and a camera will come in handy. The venue offers good facilities for spectators and drivers. Pets are not allowed. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes. Any special equipment is provided. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum height is 5’2”, maximum is 6’6”. Maximum weight is 18 stone. A full British or international manual driving licence (both parts) must be presented on the day to guarantee participation. Other Info: All instructors are Association of Racing Drivers Schools (ARDS) qualified. The model of Porsche (996 or 997) is confirmed on the day. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
