Elvington track in Yorkshire is a great location for a unique Porsche driving day. This racing circuit evolved from a former RAF base, using its runway as part of the track. This not only makes it very fast but also very safe for Porsche driving beginners as it includes large run off areas. The handling and acceleration of a Porsche 996 Turbo is nothing like you will have experienced before. Begin with a briefing from an experienced instructor, then drive for four breathtaking laps of the 1.7 mile circuit. Finish off with a presentation of a driver certificate to remember your experience by.

Availability: At least one weekend date a month from February to November, plus very occasional Fridays and Mondays. Dates fill very quickly, so we recommend booking several weeks (at least six) in advance. Weather: Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Contact will be made if the experience is cancelled for any reason. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for between an hour and two hours in total. Please arrive 45 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There are likely to be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are catering facilities on-site. Extra (chargeable) drives are available on the day. Safety dictates that pets cannot be permitted. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) with trousers, long sleeves and narrow, flat-soled shoes to negotiate pedals that are close together. A helmet is provided. Guidelines: Restrictions: Maximum weight is 18 stone. Minimum height is 4’11” and maximum 6’5”. A full British or international manual driving licence must be produced on the day in order to participate.
