Description
Come to Ipswich and jump in a swimming pool with other scuba diving trainees. With the help of an experienced instructor, you and a friend can learn all the basic scuba diving techniques in Suffolk. The two of you will be taught about safety and underwater mobility techniques and how to breathe underwater and achieve weightlessness while getting used to the scuba diving equipment. After getting to grips with the ropes you may become hooked, and scuba diving could possibly turn into a lifetime hobby. The scuba induction for two in Ipswich is the perfect way to get a basic grounding in diving and find out if you have a passion for the sport. Availability: Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday dates throughout the year. Book at least two weeks in advance. Weather: Duration: Your experience will last for around two hours, but this may vary depending on the standard of pupils. You’ll spend around half an hour in the pool. Numbers On Day: There is a maximum pupil to tutor ratio of 8:1. Spectators: We don’t recommend bringing spectators, but they can usually be accommodated upon request – please ask when booking. Dress Code: Bring a swimming costume, a towel and a T-shirt each to wear in the water to cushion you from the scuba apparatus, which can sometimes rub against the skin. All other equipment will be provided, including your tanks, masks and scuba gear. Guidelines: From the A14 Norwich, cross the Orwell Bridge into Ipswich then take the 1st left towards the industrial estate. Turn right onto Hatfield Road, keep going straight (will pass a bridge) until the left turn into St Johns Road. Restrictions: Minimum age is 10. You must be in good health and comfortable in water. If you suffer from asthma, diabetes, claustrophobia or any respiratory, heart or other medical conditions you’ll need to provide written medical approval from your doctor in advance. Other Info: All participants are required to sign a medical declaration and disclaimer before taking part. No previous experience is necessary, beginners are welcome.
