Description
Brace yourselves for a close encounter with common, grey and harbour seals on this interactive and informative wildlife tour of the Scottish coast and into the Hebrides for two. Set sail from Oban and visit a large seal colony, where typically between 10 and 20 extremely friendly seals approach and swim around the boat. With the help of a dingy, explore nearby unpolluted, white sand islands with stunning scenery, where on a clear day it’s possible to see the Small Isles, Skye, Mull and the Outer Hebrides. With knowledgeable experts on board to entertain you with fun facts and lots of impressive photo opportunities of the wildlife you are likely to spot (including sharks, eagles, dolphins and red deer), this is an unforgettable, full day exploring UK sea life!
Availability: This is a seasonal experience that runs between May and September. Weather: This experience is cancelled in adverse weather conditions, please contact the venue before setting off if in doubt. Duration: Lasts between eight and nine hours with a break for lunch (refreshments and snacks are provided but please bring along a packed lunch). Numbers On Day: There are a maximum of 11 participants on the boat. Spectators: Dress Code: Life jackets are provided. Please wear sensible shoes and wrap up warm in chillier weather. A change of clothes is recommended. Binoculars and information guides are available onboard, but don’t forget your camera to capture those wildlife close ups. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age 18. Participants need to be reasonably fit to undertake a full day at sea. Not recommended for anyone susceptible to sea sickness. As this involves boats with ladders, it’s unsuitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility restrictions. Other Info:
