Travelling by helicopter is one of the most glamourous ways to get around, which is why it’s long been the go-to form of transport for the rich and famous. The tour starts with a thrilling ascent to an altitude of around 1,000 feet which provides the most amazing views of the Derbyshire countryside. Don’t worry about missing out on any of the landmarks because your experienced pilot will point all of them out as you go. After the flight has come to an end, it’s time to enjoy a cream tea at the onsite cafe.

Availability: Flights happen around one weekend date per month, at each venue, from April to October. Weather: This is a weather dependent activity, mainly due to wind speeds and cloud base above the ground. It is crucial to call the venue before setting out to check conditions. If the flight is cancelled, it can be re-booked directly with the venue. Duration: Expect to be at the venue for about one hour, including a safety briefing and a flight time of around five minutes. Please arrive 20 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: Share the flight with up to three other passengers and a seasoned pilot. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. A pair of binoculars or a camera comes in handy. Dress Code: Please bear in mind that inside the helicopter can get quite warm.
