Head to Oxford to view the city and its surrounding countryside on Thames river cruise and take in an array of spectacular views. Begin the journey by heading upstream through the city, before reaching Binsey and Port Meadow – two pretty country villages that inspired the literary work of writers such as C S Lewis and Evelyn Waugh. Pass through Godstow – the place in which the famous 1865 novel of Alice in Wonderland was composed. Return downstream towards the city, passing by famous Oxford landmarks including the University Regatta Course and Folly Island.

Availability: Cruises operate daily from May to October. Weekends are always busy; please allow several weeks advance booking notice. Weather: The experience takes place in all weather conditions apart from extreme conditions such as flooding. Duration: Cruises last for approximately two and a half hours, usually departing at 12.30pm. Numbers On Day: There will be a maximum of 12 people on board. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to wave from the river bank. Dress Code: Dress for the weather with a hat, sunglasses and sun cream in summer. Please avoid high heels. Guidelines: Restrictions: The cruise is for four people, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult (18 or over).
