Description
Paddleboarding is an increasingly popular watersport and is accessible for most people wanting to learn a new and exciting sport with plenty of possibilities. The school teaches the basics of paddling, water safety and getting up on your feet comfortably. For those with some previous paddleboarding experience, this session can be used as a step up lesson to improve paddle technique and potentially head out on a tour. The majority of lessons are set on the beautiful Camel estuary in Padstow which provides the perfect flat water conditions. All the necessary equipment is provided including a wetsuit, board and paddle.
Availability: Seven days a week between May and October. Please be aware that for group bookings of four or more, extra dates may be available so do check. Weather: Cancellations are rare and conditions shouldn’t affect this experience, however, if instructors deem that conditions are unsuitable, a voucher will be provided to redeem another time. Duration: Lasts around two hours. Lessons are scheduled around tides (please call the school a week prior to the experience to confirm the exact start time). Numbers On Day: Numbers on the day vary but are split into groups with a maximum of eight people per instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch from the beach. Dress Code: Please bring a swimming costume, towel, waterproof sun block, sunglasses and clothing (suitable for weather on the day) Guidelines: Full details and directions will be e-mailed to you at least a week in advance of your confirmed booking. Restrictions: Minimum age is 12 but under 16’s must bring a parent/guardian as a spectator. Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres unaided and will be asked to sign a fitness declaration. Other Info: Lunch isn’t included but there is a good pub and a burger van nearby.
